Ce troisième volet de The Essence reprend l’ensemble de l’album Nature paru en 1998.
Fidèle à son trio magique, James Cammack à la contrebasse et Idris Muhammad à la batterie, Ahmad a invité sur l’ensemble de l’album Othello Molineaux aux steel drums et Stanley Turrentine au saxophone ténor sur un titre.
En écoutant ce disque on est assuré que la formation d’Ahmad est l’une des plus flamboyantes du jazz actuel.
